iROCK! UK Unveils New Website and Announces Partnership with FAB Magazine

iROCK! UK is proud to welcome their friends and supporters to its brand new cyberpad: irockuk.org. The new website not only has all the information on the UK-based social enterprise which works with partner agencies and companies to provide mentoring, training and access to employment programmes for young people, but also the latest scoop on their upcoming Tribes of Africa event to be held at Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London on Saturday 26 May 2012.

 

In the run up to the event which will boast the Who’s Who of African society in the UK, iROCK! UK also welcomes FAB Magazine – the quarterly fashion and lifestyle magazine bringing you the best in black and African style and living – as its official media partner.

The event, which aims to entertain while raising funds for the UK-based social enterprise, will see FAB Magazine support iROCK! UK in its mission to advocate for the social empowerment of women.

FAB Editor-in-Chief, Sinem Bilen-Onabanjo says, “As FAB magazine – a fashion magazine with soul – we not only believe in the need to empowerment women around the world, and in particular Africa, but also wholeheartedly the need to support movements which aim to enlighten and empower the new generation in order to help them build their futures and achieve their dreams. We are honoured to join forces with iROCK!, who share similar values and ethos in their ‘fashion with a mission’ initiative, to deploy the power of fashion in order to raise awareness as well as opportunities to help support young people from all walks of life.”

Team FAB joins the mentees at iROCK! UK, headed by founder and director Viola Ncube, who assures the event will “bring together an amazing set of unique designers and stylists with diverse creative visions to celebrate African culture and heritage.” On iROCK!’s collaboration with FAB Magazine, Viola adds “iROCK!  is proud to have FAB Magazine as a media partner. Celebrating Africa Day, the black tie dinner will event take place on Saturday 26 May 2012 at Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London from 6.30pm.
