With weeks to go to the third edition of AFWL scheduled for 1-3 August 2013 at Old Truman Brewery in Shoreditch and standard tickets selling fast, in order to give fans of African fashion an opportunity to see what designers and exhibitors have to offer, the organisers of Africa Fashion Week London have announced the availability of first come first served free standing tickets which also permit entry to the exhibition.
Africa Fashion Week London is the largest African fashion exhibition outside of the continent, providing a global platform for emerging and established designers alike. Since its debut in August 2011, AFWL has become a key platform for capturing the surge of the African inspired trends in the fashion industry.
“As always the interest for Africa Fashion Week London 2013 and demand for attendance has been overwhelming. In a bid to give all fans of African fashion an opportunity to make the most of the three-day event, we decided to make available a number of free standing tickets with free entry to the exhibition which we hope will appeal to many who may want to catch the catwalk shows but still save their budget to splash out on the goods on offer by our exhibitors,” said Ronke Ademiluyi, CEO and founder of Africa Fashion Week London.
With Mrs. Fifi Ejindu, the Nigeria-based architect and businesswoman and Yinka Shonibare MBE, the London-based globally celebrated Nigerian fine artist as patrons, this year’s event will see over 100 African designers and exhibitors showcasing their designs at the event expected over 20,000 people to attend the event over the course of the three days.
